Spain trip still on for Charlton

Alan Curbishley still hopes to take his players on a three-day training trip to Spain, despite the trouble encountered by Leicester's players and today's bombings in Madrid.

"If we get advice that it is dangerous to go, then we will have to consider that," said the Charlton manager.

Curbishley said the break arranged for the first weekend in April, when Charlton are without a match, had been booked before Leicester's trip to La Manga ended so abruptly.

Curbishley said: "The Leicester thing put a big shadow over clubs going abroad but at this moment I'm not going to cancel."
