Sir Bobby recovering

14 April 2012

Former England manager Sir Bobby Robson is recovering well after being taken ill at a match.

The 73-year-old complained of feeling unwell 10 minutes into Saturday's Coca-Cola Championship clash between Ipswich and Crystal Palace.

Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust spokeswoman Elaine Patten said: "Sir Bobby is feeling very well, and once his investigations are completed he will be discharged."

Robson had been paraded in front of the crowd at Portman Road before the match after being named honorary club president.

A statement released by the club read: "He was attended by the club doctor and, as a precaution, was transferred to Ipswich hospital."
