Sibierski forced off through injury

Late goals from Bernardo Corradi and Danny Mills helped Manchester City beat Northern Irish side Ballymena 3-1 in their friendly at The Showgrounds.

City forged ahead when Antoine Sibierski headed home a corner from Joey Barton in the 14th minute. The French midfielder was forced off 19 minutes later after suffering what looked like an ankle injury, with Trevor Sinclair replacing him.

Ballymena levelled through Gary Haveron's header (40) but City restored their lead in the 83rd minute when Corradi finished well, after Ousmane Dabo's pass was flicked on by Samaras. And Mills made sure in the final minute with a right-foot drive.
