Scott eyes major challenge

Adam Scott feels he is ready to contend for major titles after securing his fourth European Tour victory in the Scandinavian Masters.

Scott carded a final-round 69 for an 11-under-par total of 277 in Malmo, two shots clear of England's Nick Dougherty.

Annika Sorenstam completed a career grand slam in women's majors with a dramatic victory in the British Open at Royal Lytham. She carded a final round two-under par 70 to edge out rival Se Ri Pak of Korea by a stroke. Jim Furyk posted a two-shot victory at the Buick Open.
