Scotland head coach Andy Robinson has made one enforced change to his starting XV for this Saturday's third EMC Autumn Test with Samoa in Aberdeen.

Edinburgh second row Scott MacLeod was ruled out on Sunday after suffering a rib injury in the win over South Africa and his place in the starting line up is taken by Richie Vernon.

Glasgow Warrior Vernon returns at number eight, with Nathan Hines switching to the second row.

Loosehead prop Allan Jacobsen has been declared fit and will win his 50th cap, while Mike Blair returns on the bench.

Sean Lamont also brings up his half century of Scotland appearances after being retained on the wing.

Blair is joined on the bench by Gloucester lock Jim Hamilton and Max Evans, the Glasgow Warriors centre who missed the Springboks clash through injury.

Greig Laidlaw and Chris Paterson join MacLeod in dropping out of the matchday 22.
