Saracens relishing return to Wembley

Saracens will be out to maintain their proud record at "fortress" Wembley when they host Harlequins in a Guinness Premiership match under the famous arch this evening.

The north London club have already won there against Northampton, Worcester and South Africa this season and director of rugby Brendan Venter knows that a 13th league win - against a side who have not won away from home in 2010 - would virtually guarantee his side a top-four finish.

"Off the field, fans will be treated to some fantastic entertainment while on it, our job as coaches and players is to make sure we are fully prepared to deliver our own performance," he said.

"We have been pleased with the performances in recent weeks and that is testament to the hard work we have put in all season.

"We are starting to see the real potential and talent in this group of players and it promises to not only make for an exciting few weeks ahead, but also the years to come."

With one eye on the future, Saracens have added another South African to their ranks for next season in the shape of Springbok loosehead prop Deon Carstens.

The 30-year-old has made 80 appearances for the Sharks in the Super 14 competition and last played for South Africa in the first Test against the Lions in Durban last year.

In Sunday's Premiership matches, relegation-threatened Leeds Carnegie look to end a run of three successive defeats when they visit London Irish and Leicester take on Newcastle aiming for their first win at Kingston Park for nearly six years.
