The USA are on the brink of winning the Ryder Cup with Europe in need of a miracle on the final day at Whistling Straits.

Steve Stricker’s Americans lead 11-5 going into the Sunday singles after another dominant display on Saturday.

The European trio of Sergio Garcia, Jon Rahm and Shane Lowry have given Padraig Harrington’s group the smallest sliver of hope going into the Sunday singles but it will take a record breaking comeback to even retain the Ryder Cup.

“Six points is a tough one to make up tomorrow, but I think we were a half-point short of that in the Miracle at Medinah on Sunday, so we’re just going to have to push for that tomorrow,” Harrington said.

“There’s no doubt that’s going to be very strong on our minds.”
