Relive Jannie de Beer's incredible display with the boot from South Africa's 1999 Rugby World Cup quarter-final victory over England.

Then 28, De Beer singled-handedly ended England's tournament as he racked up 34 points in a 44-21 victory, maintaing a 100 per cent record as he scored with each of his 12 kicks at the posts.

The South African's feat was made all the more impressive because the fly-half was deputising for the injured Henry Honiball.

As well as two conversions and five penalties, De Beer ddispatched an incredible five drop goals in just 31 second-half minutes to book a last-four meeting with Australia at the expense of Clive Woodward's side.

His tally of drop goals at the Stade de France remains the highest number in a single World Cup match and helped propel the Boks' back-up to third in the 1999 World Cup scoring charts.
