The second round of Six Nations fixtures are over and England have taken control at the top of the table.

Eddie Jones' side lived dangerously against Wales but a last-gap Elliot Daly try secured a thrilling 21-16 victory at the Principality Stadium.

England, who have won a national record 16 Tests in a row, have eight points to their name courtesy of two victories and are now the only side who can win the Grand Slam this year.

Ireland are second, having bounced back from an opening day defeat to Scotland with a resounding win over Italy.

CJ Stander and Craig Gilroy both scored hat-tricks as Joe Schmidt's side put nine tries past a poor Azzurri defence.

Scotland spurned an opportunity to build on their impressive opening performance after succumbing to a France fightback in Paris.

The visitors led twice - thanks to tries from Stuart Hogg and Tim Swinson - but had to settle for a bonus point following a 22-16 defeat.
