Dan Biggar looks certain to undergo a scan on his damaged ankle today with fears the Wales outside-half has suffered a significant injury in the 16-16 draw against Ireland in Dublin.

Head coach Warren Gatland will receive an injury update today on his No10, who lasted only 22 minutes before hobbling off. Biggar was replaced by Rhys Priestland, whose goalkicking helped Wales battle back into the contest from 13-0 down.

Wales next face Scotland in Cardiff on Saturday.

“Dan has a high ankle sprain, so we will know more on that in the next 24 to 48 hours,” said Gatland, who is already without injured full-back Leigh Halfpenny for the tournament.

Ireland head to France with coach Joe Schmidt hoping that first-choice props Cian Healy and Mike Ross may come into the selection mix after injury problems
