England win 18th straight Test match to equal New Zealand's record streak

England have matched New Zealand's record winning streak with victory over Scotland at Twickenham on Saturday.

The Red Rose have not lost since Australia's win at Twickenham during a disastrous home World Cup campaign in 2015.

With progression to the knockout stages beyond them, Stuart Lancaster led the hosts to a 60-3 win over Uruguay in their pool stage dead rubber before standing down from his role as head coach.

Eddie Jones was appointed head coach the following month and has since led the team on a remarkable winning streak, emulating New Zealand's run which Ireland ended in November 2017.

England's perfect Six Nations campaign in 2016 was followed by a win over Wales at Twickenham before Jones's men whitewashed the Wallabies in Australia, winning each Test in a three-game series in June.

The hosts went on to sweep aside South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and again Australia in autumn internationals at Twickenham before another perfect Six Nations campaign continued against Scotland on Saturday.

England can win back-to-back Grand Slams for the first tie since 1992 with a win against Ireland in Dublin next weekend.
