Booth boosted by Exiles spirit

10 April 2012

Toby Booth is confident London Irish will soon get back to winning ways despite their seventh successive defeat.

Irish lost 38-17 at Toulon and their key winger Sailosi Tagicakibau could now face a ban after being sent off for two yellow card offences in the Heineken Cup tie.

However, Booth is taking heart from the fight his side showed after going 17-0 down.

They brought the scores level — with tries from Delon Armitage and replacement Alex Corbisiero — before the hosts pulled away in the latter stages.

The Exiles director of rugby said: "If we continue to play like that we have a great chance of turning this streak around. The players used up a lot of energy in getting back on level terms."
