Saracens centre Alex Lozowski is out of England’s match against New Zealand after being banned until November 12.

Lozowski faced a third hearing last night relating to incidents occurring in his side’s 13-3 Champions Cup win over Glasgow on October 14.

The judgment was not released until 2.08am this morning and handed Lozowski a four-week ban for a dangerous tackle.

The suspension was backdated because he had already served two weeks, so he is free to play the week after next.

However, he will miss out for England because the end his ban comes two days after England face the All Blacks at Twickenham.

The episode has taken more than two weeks to resolve and Lozowski (right) has flown back twice from England’s training camp in Portugal to attend hearings.

He was one of 10 players released from the squad yesterday ahead of Saturday’s opening autumn Test against South Africa.

Lozowski was initially suspended for two weeks for a dangerous ruck entry in the Glasgow clash and also cited for a dangerous tackle on Ruaridh Jackson.

He was found not guilty on the Jackson charge after the Glasgow man gave evidence to the first hearing over the phone.

Lozowski then appealed the ruck entry ban and that was chalked off but Champions Cup organisers EPCR appealed the not guilty verdict on the incident with Jackson.

Last night’s panel found that Lozowski should have been shown a red card for the incident which carries a six-week suspension. That was cut by two weeks because of Lozowski’s good record and expressions of remorse but the protracted process has brought a degree of criticism for EPCR.

The governing body were already under fire Glasgow played Cardiff in round two of the Champions Cup shirts that were very similar in colour.

When England head coach Eddie Jones was asked about Lozowski’s availability last week, he was unclear when the next hearing would take place.

The independent committee included former Leicester centre Leon Lloyd whilst Lozowski was supported by Saracens’ lawyer Sam Jones and director of rugby Mark McCall.
