Rovers trio agree new contracts

12 April 2012

Blackburn have confirmed that Stephen Warnock, Martin Olsson and Matt Derbyshire have all agreed new deals to remain at the Barclays Premier League club.

The trio have agreed contracts which will keep them at Ewood Park until the summer of 2012.

Warnock, 26, told the club's official website: "It is fantastic. It is a massive thing to be offered a new contract and when you see how the club is progressing and how things are going, you want to be part of that."

Olsson, 19, who joined Rovers just over two years ago from Swedish side Hogaborgs BK, added: "I'm very happy to have signed a new deal - it is what I've been working hard for.

"I'm learning all the time in training and I'm delighted that the manager has shown this faith in me."
