Cristiano Ronaldo says Portugal have a great chance of winning Euro 2008 after they moved into the quarter-finals with a comfortable victory over the Czech Republic last night.

The Manchester United striker scored as Luiz Felipe Scolari's team won 3-1 to record their second successive win.

A half-time teamtalk from Chelsea-bound Scolari proved crucial after Czech midfielder Libor Sionko had equalised Deco's early strike.

Ronaldo (above) said: "Our main aim was to get to the next phase. We played well in the first match and again here. If we carry on like this, we have a good chance of winning the title."

Ricardo Quaresma scored Portugal's third goal after Ronaldo had put them in front again.

Meanwhile, Turkey coach Fatih Terim declared "this is the beginning of the Euros for us" after his side came from behind to beat Switzerland 2-1, knocking out the co-hosts in the process.

They can join Portugal in the last eight by beating the Czech Republic in their final game.
