Ronaldinho dismisses Milan link

14 April 2012

Ronaldinho has dismissed rumours of a move to AC Milan, instead pledging his future to Primera Liga champions Barcelona.

Sections of the Italian media have linked the Brazil playmaker with a move to the San Siro this week following the news that Milan will be allowed to play in the Champions League, but the 26-year-old has insisted he is committed to the Catalan giants.

"Right now I am not thinking about anything other than Barca," he told the club's official website, fcbarcelona.com. "All I have in my head are thoughts of training, something I have been missing. I want to stay on here. Barcelona is the perfect place and for me, nothing has changed."

Ronaldinho added that he was unaware of the rumours, having avoided newspapers and television while on holiday after another busy summer of international action.

Nor has his agent and brother, Roberto de Assis, informed him of any potential move.

"I don't know if there has been any contact with my brother," he said.

"But it is always nice to know that a big club with great fans is after you and admires your work. These things motivate me to work even harder."
