Rio snaps in photo row

14 April 2012

Rio Ferdinand, never a stranger to a night on the town, is at the centre of a new row today after it emerged that he was caught up in a scuffle with a photographer who claims a friend of the England defender stole his camera.

The photographer was trying to take pictures of Ferdinand and his friends as they left the Toast bar in Hampstead when one of them grabbed his camera and ran off.

Police are investigating the incident, but there is no suggestion that the player himself was directly involved.

It comes a day after Arsenal star Quincy Owusu Abeyie was arrested by police after a brawl outside the Cafe Royal.
