Reiziger in Euro rally cry

14 April 2012

Middlesbrough defender Michael Reiziger has warned Europe there are more surprises to come from the UEFA Cup novices.

The Dutchman and his team-mates head into their final Group E match, against Partizan Belgrade at the Riverside tonight, knowing victory would guarantee top spot.

That would be a major achievement for the club, who are enjoying their first foray into European football in their 128-year history.

"Maybe we have surprised a few people but I am not surprised because we have a good squad," said Reiziger.

"I hope at the end people will be more surprised - it means we will be up there.

"The club are quite new in Europe but a lot of the players are not."
