Reid reads the riot act to Leeds

14 April 2012

Peter Reid fears his side are in for a very hard season after watching them get hammered 4-0 at Everton.

The Leeds manager saw his team drop into the Premiership relegation zone, then said: "I am worried if we keep playing like this.

"We were second best in every department. There was no passing, no tackling and no desire to work or play.

"If you do not have the desire and you do not want to compete, you are going to be in big trouble. We are in for a very hard season if we keep playing like this."

Leeds were beaten by a Steve Watson hat-trick and Duncan Ferguson's header .

"I cannot justify a display like that to the fans," added Reid, who intends to shake things up. "I do not want them to accept what went on because I cannot accept it."
