Reid leaves Coventry

14 April 2012

Peter Reid has parted company with Coventry by mutual consent.

Reid took over as Sky Blues manager in May last year but the team have slumped to 20th in the Coca-Cola Championship.

They have lost their last four games and won just one of their last eight.

Adrian Heath will look after first-team affairs for Saturday's FA Cup third-round tie against Crewe.

Chants of "Reid out" resounded around Highfield Road following the 2-1 home defeat to Leeds and the Sky Blues boss later declined to attend his usual post-match press conference.

The former Sunderland and Leeds boss, who has come under increasing pressure in recent weeks, won 10 of his 31 games in charge since, losing 13 and drawing eight.
