Rainbow View looks streets ahead in fillies' Classic

Simon Milham13 April 2012

On official figures, Rainbow View is upwards of 7lb superior to her rivals in Sunday's 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket and there is no obvious reason to think she won't run true to form.

John Gosden's star filly has won all four starts, twice over the course and twice over the mile which she encounters in the Classic.

She was hugely impressive when signing off her juvenile campaign accounting for previously unbeaten Fantasia in the Fillies' Mile at Ascot.

Gosden seems happy with Rainbow View's form but, if there is a worry, she can be excitable and could expel some energy in the preliminaries.

While Serious Attitude is bred to get a mile, she shows plenty of speed and may not stay the trip. So Lahaleeb, who looks a typical improver from the Mick Channon yard, is taken to follow Rainbow View home.
