Quinlan is surprise choice to face Pumas

Ireland coach Eddie O'Sullivan caused a surprise today by naming Munster's Alan Quinlan at openside flanker and Victor Costello at No8 for the crucial pool match against Argentina on Sunday.

Keith Gleeson is dropped and Costello will play off the back of the scrum in preference to Eric Miller. Simon Easterby will be on the blindside.

O'Sullivan has also gone for David Humphreys at fly-half instead of Ronan O'Gara, despite the latter's impressive display against Namibia.
