Queens Park Rangers boss Dowie hails his new cult hero Ledesma

Emmanuel Ledesma delighted Iain Dowie after he inspired Queens Park Rangers to a 2-1 win over Barnsley.


The Argentine midfielder, 20, is on loan from Serie A side Genoa.

Head coach Dowie said: 'He's already a cult hero.'

Charlton beat Swansea 2-0, thanks to goals from Mark Hudson and Andy Gray, to earn praise from boss Alan Pardew.

He said: 'That's what this club is about - endeavour.'

Crystal Palace and Watford got off to a steady start when they shared a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park.
