'Pray for Paul' - manager Maloney

Boxer Paul Ingle's manager, Frank Maloney, said today: "He's critical but stable at the moment, and the next 48 hours are very important.

"All we can do is ask people to pray for Paul and his family."Maloney added: "I have spoken with his mother and his fiancee. They are upset but they're holding up."

Maloney claimed there had been nothing in Ingle's condition to suggest matters were about to take a turn for the worse at the end of the fight.

"None at all. In the dressing room he was his normal self; he was looking forward to it and was very confident," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
