Pietersen boost England hopes

Kevin Pietersen held England's innings together as his side suffered a torrid morning on day four at Lord's.

Pietersen (62no) completed the 11th Test half century of his career as he and Matt Prior (10no) took the score to 161-5 at lunch for a lead of 258.

Seamer RP Singh had produced a superb spell as he removed captain Michael Vaughan (30), Paul Collingwood (4) and Ian Bell (9) in favourable conditions.
