Rebecca Adlington reaches final with lucky 13

Rebecca Adlington sailed into Friday's final of the 800metres freestyle at the British Olympic trials at the Aquatics Centre today.

The two-time Olympic champion won the final heat in 8min 26.62 sec, 13 seconds clear of her nearest rival, Keri-anne Payne.

Adam Brown topped the qualifiers from the heats of the men’s 50m freestyle ahead of Simon Burnett.

Tonight Hannah Miley bids for a third title this week in the 200m breastroke but Stacey Tadd leads the the qualifiers by nearly two seconds.
