Jaxson de Ville writes to The Queen asking Buckingham Palace to fly Jacksonville Jaguars flag

Brit cat: The US mascot’s UK counterpart Union Jaxson delivered the package

The Jacksonville Jaguars mascot Jaxson de Ville has put in a cheeky request to Buckingham Palace as the American football franchise attempts to cement its position as London's team.

The Jaguars face the Indianapolis Colts at Wembley on October 2 in what will be their fourth home game at London's national stadium in four years.

And Jaxson hopes to mark the team's special relationship with the United Kingdom by having the Jaguars' team colours flown proudly above the Queen's home.

The Mascot, who is due to fly over for Sunday's game, penned a letter to Her Majesty requesting that she accept 'the enclosed Jaguars Standard' and consider replacing the Palace's current flag.

The US mascot’s UK counterpart Union Jaxson delivered the special package on Wednesday morning.

Jaxson said: “We absolutely love visiting our second home in London. Everyone at the Jacksonville Jaguars has huge respect for Her Majesty and I will be proudly singing along to God Save The Queen on Sunday afternoon at Wembley.

“We hope the Royal family has caught the NFL fever like many others and will accept the Jaguars Standard we have sent. That’ll make this cat’s day.”
