There were 21 medals for Great Britain, including eight golds, on Sunday before Monday's action at the 2016 Rio Paralympics produced another five golds for the nation.

And Tuesday proved to be yet another superb day for Great Britain as the nation's Paralympians secured yet more medals and, indeed, more golds.

After a superb night in the pool where Ellie Simmonds triumphed, the sixth day of action in Rio began with Georgie Hermitage storming to gold in the 400m T37 final as the athlete set a new world record in the process.

Hollie Arnold then followed that up with gold on the track as she won the Javelin throw F46 with a world-record throw of 3.01m while Rob Davies won gold in his table tennis singles class 1 final later in the afternoon.

Stephen Miller, competing in his sixth Paralympics, then took bronze in the athletics club throw F32 before Jamie Burdekin and Andy Lapthrone took Great Britain's medal haul this summer to 68 with their bronze medal in the wheelchair tennie quad doubles.

Ellie Simmonds followed up her gold medal on Monday with a bronze in the 400m freestyle S6 final, a race that also saw Ellie Robinson come in fourth place, before Great Britain reached the 70-medal mark with Piers Gilliver's silver in the wheelchair fencing individual Epee A.
