Donaldson’s shot bowls the fans over

Some golfers pick up a sports car for a hole in one on the Tour but Jamie Donaldson’s reward for an ace on his Masters debut was a crystal bowl.

The Briton became the fifth man in Masters history to achieve an ace on the 180-yard par-three sixth.

Donaldson, who finished two over par, said: “It was great to see the ball pitch right on line, just short, and go in. It was pretty special.”
