Adam Booth rules out David Haye-Dereck Chisora bout

Shocking: Daye Haye brawls with Dereck Chisora
10 April 2012

David Haye has no intention of meeting Dereck Chisora in the ring, according to the former world champion's trainer Adam Booth.

There was speculation that their brawl in Munich on Saturday was partly an attempt to drum up interest in a potential fight between the two British heavyweights. But Booth, who was cut on the forehead during the fracas, today dismissed the idea.

He claimed that Haye would only return to boxing to face Vitali or Wladimir Klitschko, the latter having defeated him last year. The Klitschko camp have already indicated Haye is not on their radar, leaving Booth to speculate that his retirement could be permanent.

"David is retired, he has no plans to fight again," Booth said. "He's always said he would only want to fight one of the Klitschko brothers and what happened on Saturday night doesn't change that one bit."
