No luck of the draw as Villa miss out on Uefa Cup spot

Aston Villa have missed out on a place in next season's UEFA Cup following the Fair Play draw.

Martin O'Neill's side had the best disciplinary record in the Barclays Premiership and were hoping to be rewarded with a place in the first qualifying round for next season's UEFA Cup.

Ten nations including England and Wales were in today's draw, and the two picked out at the ceremony in Glasgow were Finland and Norway, who will both enter clubs.

Sweden, who finished top of the UEFA Fair Play table, were automatically given the right to enter a team in the qualifiers.
