Nicklaus plans an Open finale

Jack Nicklaus expects The Open Championship at St Andrews to bring down the curtain on his tournament career.

The 65-year-old American, who made his farewell to the US Masters last month, loses his exemption after this July's championship. Nicklaus, a winner at St Andrews in 1970 and 1978, cried when he played his final hole at Augusta.

"I expect I will be just as emotional at St Andrews, I am a sentimental old fool," he said.
