Neville no-go for reserves

12 April 2012

Gary Neville will not play for Manchester United's reserves tonight on his comeback from injury.

The Red Devils skipper had been expected to feature against league leaders Sunderland but has not taken a place in Brian McClair and Jim Ryan's squad.

A club spokesperson told www.manutd.com: "Gary has been training with the first team and will continue with that as opposed to playing with the reserves."

Neville played 56 minutes for the reserves at the start of the month but has not played for the first team since suffering an ankle ligament injury in the Premier League clash with Bolton on March 17.
