Napa ready for title shot

13 April 2012

Ian Napa believes a convincing victory against European bantamweight title-holder Carmelo Ballone at York Hall in Bethnal Green tonight will put him in the mix for a world title shot.

Napa, Zimbabwe-born but now living in Hackney, said: "Every fighter dreams of a world title. I feel I'm world-class but I have to prove it.

"This is a big fight for me because it could put me in the world ratings, so I'll be giving it one million per cent."

The 30-year-old Lonsdale Belt winner will have to be good because Ballone, a 32-year-old Belgian, has stopped his last five opponents.
