Murrays battle back for victory

12 April 2012

Andy and Jamie Murray reached the second round of the doubles at the Qatar Open with a Champions tie-break win over Marcos Baghdatis and Stanislas Wawrinka.

The Scottish brothers fought back after losing the first set in Doha to take victory 4-6 6-1 10-5 under the new format.

The Champions tie-break is played instead of the third set to speed matches up, with the winner being the first to 10 points and they will now await the winners of the match between Polish fourth seeds Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski and the Czech Republic's Frantisek Cermak and Jaroslav Levinsky.

In the meantime Andy Murray, the British number one and fourth seed, is due to return to singles action tomorrow when he plays Belgian Christophe Rochus in round two.
