Murphy ready to face Blues

14 April 2012

Danny Murphy claims that Liverpool will not be fazed when they face £75million of new Chelsea talent in their Premiership opener at Anfield on Sunday.

The midfielder said: "We have to focus on our own team and look at our own qualities and what we can do to beat teams.

"Our away form has always looked after itself but we need to improve at Anfield. We need to be more varied in our play at home, especially when teams come here and hope for a draw."

Liverpool will be without the suspended Steven Gerrard and Dietmar Hamann is out until November.

Salif Diao and summer signing Steve Finnan are not yet match fit, so Igor Biscan is likely to start in midfield.
