Miller makes hoops move

13 April 2012

QPR have completed the signing of Sunderland midfielder Liam Miller for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old Republic of Ireland international has put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season and could go straight into the squad which travels to Derby on Saturday.

"It's a great move for me. The club is definitely heading in the right direction and when you look around the squad you can see the quality on offer," Miller told the club's official website.

QPR boss Paulo Sousa added: "Liam is an international midfielder and will give us great options in that area of the pitch. He's an energetic, box-to-box player who will complement the already positive options we have in the midfield department."

Miller began his career at Celtic and had a spell with Manchester United before joining Leeds on loan. He made 60 appearances for Sunderland after moving to the Stadium of Light in the summer of 2006.
