Terry returned for Chelsea's win over Derby on Sunday and was at the helm again last night for the 4-0 win in Rosenborg.

Terry said: "I feel fine now, a bit sharper after two games and it is great to be back. I had long conversations with McClaren. I wanted to be part of it and was close to playing. But it was four-and-a-half weeks after my operation and I had only done a bit of running.

"Going into a game like that I wouldn't have done the lads any favours at all."
