'Mad Dog' Allen moves for Swindon post

Former Brentford, Leicester and MK Dons boss Martin Allen wants to become Swindon manager.

He said: "I have not had any contact with anybody but I will be writing to apply for the job."

Former Swindon defenders Luc Nijholt and Shaun Taylor are other contenders. Former Burnley manager Steve Cotterill is in the frame, too.
