Lucky bounce nets Tigers win

Leicester full back Tim Stimpson landed the most dramatic penalty winner European rugby has seen yesterday - in defiance of England captain Martin Johnson. Stimpson, whose last-minute 60-yard goal hit the crossbar and post as the holders won 13-12 to rob Llanelli of their first Heineken Cup Final, revealed that he had taken a quick decision to go for goal before Johnson could intervene.

'I could sense Johnno coming across to tell me to go for the corner,' said Stimpson. 'He said,"You're on your own".Then when it was over he said,"I love you now you've got it but I'd have hated you if you'd missed it".'
