Lucky 13 for Schumacher as he breezes to victory

Even by Michael Schumacher's standards, qualifying on pole and then winning his 13th grand prix of the season in one day is a super-human effort.

The German bounced back from his worst finish at last month's Chinese Grand Prix to claim his sixth victory in Japan.

Qualifying at Suzuka was delayed until the morning of the race due to a typhoon threat on Saturday but it made no difference to world champion Schumacher.

"After China, Michael was determined to do well and here we saw him at his best," said Ferrari technical director Ross Brawn.

Schumacher's 83rd career win was a recordequalling 15th of the season for Ferrari. His brother Ralf was second in his Williams and Jenson Button (BAR Honda), third.
