Low interest in QPR loans

Ian Holloway is struggling to bring in players on loan to strengthen his Queens Park Rangers squad.

The QPR manager does not have the cash to pay a fee, although he does have funds to wheel and deal in the loan market.

But his attempts to fill the gaps caused by injuries have been hampered by the reluctance of other clubs to release players.

"Clubs in our division don't want to help us and the Premiership boys aren't letting anyone out," Holloway said.

Arsenal's 20-year-old defender Frankie Simek was signed on loan a fortnight ago but attempts to recruit Les Ferdinand from Bolton and West Brom's Rob Hulse have proved fruitless.
