Lauititti must miss derby clash

12 April 2012

Leeds forward Ali Lauitiiti has been banned for one match and fined £300 by the Rugby Football League after being found guilty of a careless strike of the forearm during Saturday's defeat at Warrington.

The ban means Lauitiiti will miss Friday's engage Super League derby clash with Bradford at Headingley.

The 29-year-old was the only Super League player to be called before the RFL disciplinary panel.

The Grade C offence with which he was charged could have resulted in a four-game ban.

Lauitiiti was placed on report by referee Steve Ganson in the 29th minute of the weekend game following a challenge on Ben Westwood.
