Koumas stars as Wales ease to victory

12 April 2012

Wales cruised to a comfortable 3-0 Group D victory over a totally outclassed San Marino in this Euro 2008 qualifier in Cardiff.

Ryan Giggs and Gareth Bale set the ball rolling in the first half, and Jason Koumas netted a second period penalty in front of an 18,752 crowd - far more than had been predicted.

The performance was fine from Wales, but they know they should have scored more goals.

Danny Coyne did not have a save to make as Wales spent the entire game camped in their hapless opponents' half.
