Korean encore for Marsden

14 April 2012

Southampton's Chris Marsden is lining up a deal to finish his career with a payday in South Korea.

The midfielder, 35 later this month, is out of contract in the summer and is understood to be discussing a move to K-League side Busan Icons.

Marsden is believed to have visited Busan last week and held talks with Icons boss Ian Porterfield, the former Chelsea manager.

Marsden has enjoyed success at St Mary's, notably while operating on the left of midfield with since-departed leftback Wayne Bridge behind him.

But Strachan, who himself is leaving the south coast this summer, has told Marsden his services will not be required next term.
