Knee injury rules out Chuter

12 April 2012

England hooker George Chuter has been ruled out of Saturday's final World Cup warm-up game against France in Marseille.

The Leicester forward suffered a sprain to his right knee during training in Bath on Wednesday.

He will be replaced in the starting line-up by Bristol's Mark Regan, who makes his third successive August start.

Chuter joins flanker Lewis Moody (calf muscle) and scrum-half Peter Richards (back) on England's casualty list just three weeks before they start their World Cup defence against the United States in Lens.
