Kinnear already working Luton magic

Luton are already thriving under Joe Kinnear. Since he took over as director of football at Kenilworth Road last week they have won two games, including last night's 3-1 win at Notts County.

The relegation-threatened Second Division club are now looking forward confidently to Saturday's clash against fellow-strugglers Swansea.

The 54-year-old who once saved Wimbledon from Premiership relegation is also happy with the way things are going.

He said: "The owners have given me carte blanche. I can run the club as I see fit, I can buy and sell who I like, I can hire and fire who I like."
