Keane still looking to bring in £9m keeper Gordon

Wanted: Craig Gordon
13 April 2012

Sunderland boss Roy Keane is still hoping to seal a £9million deal for Hearts keeper Craig Gordon.

A week after refusing Keane's club record offer, the Edinburgh club have indicated the Scotland stopper may be allowed to leave.

Majority shareholder Vladmir Romanov said: "I think it's for Craig to decide his own destiny. You can't just hold somebody at the club if he doesn't want to stay. If he tells me he wants to go that's it, but it's his decision." Keane is hoping to conclude the transfer before Italian giants Juventus visit the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
