Kanu hits out at Arsenal

Nigerian striker Nwankwo Kanu has blamed Arsenal for being dropped by his country.

Kanu missed Nigeria's below-par defence of the Olympic title and has since been withdrawn from the national side's African Nations Cup qualifier against Zambia.

But he has put the blame on his club and claimed in a letter to Nigeria's sports minister Damishi Sango, who forced national coach Jo Bonfrere to drop Kanu, that he "moved heaven and earth" to obtain a release from Arsenal to play in Sydney.
