Jol returns as Manchester City face Hamburg face in the UEFA Cup

Returning: the former Tottenham man will travel to Eastlands for the second leg of the tie

Manchester City's reward for knocking Aalborg out of the UEFA Cup on penalties last night is a quarter-final tie with Bundesliga side Hamburg.

Former Spurs boss Martin Jol saw his team come from 2-0 down to beat Galatasaray 3-2 in Istanbul last night and are very much in the race for the German title, lying fourth.

Qtr-finals: Hamburg v Man City; Paris St Germain v Dynamo Kiev; Shakhtar Donetsk v Marseille; Werder Bremen v Udinese — 1st legs will be played on 9 April with the returns on 16 April.

Semi-finals: Werder Bremen/Udinese v Hamburg/Man City PSG/Dynamo Kiev v Sh Donetsk/Marseille — 1st legs will be played on 30 April with the returns on 7 May.

Final: Istanbul (Sukru Saracolu Stadium), 20 May.
